lt headers question
just a quick couple of questions..
any lt headers will make the car fail emissions, from what i have read.. is that true?
why does it make it fail emissions, if so?
and is there any way to have lt headers but pass emissions?
i see all these cars here having lt's, being daily driven...

to answer ur last question, you can pass emissions if your clean out of the tail pipe if the smog tech "over looks" the lt's. or simply swap back to manifolds every two years. good luck

depends on where you live how they test. You can have LT's and still pass the sniffer or OBDII testing. The headers themselves won't cause you to fail, other than a visual, it's the removal of the cats. Some places test OBDII cars (after 96) by connecting to the ALDL to check for any codes. You can actually have no cats and still pass this test using O2 sims. Your other option is to get LT's and a Y-pipe with cats like Texas Speed sells. Provided you don't live in CA you have a few options.
