Default 2nd ls1 in 6 months

Well.. I bought a red heads/cam z28 about 6 ish months ago.. totalled it in a sudden rainstorm in Florida (had 315 rear tires) hydroplaned, and hit a guardrail. 18k damage..

Traded in my RT for a 2002 black bone stock ws6 with 12200 miles (still has 1 year left on factory warranty.

heres a pic of what was left of the marro...

The new car..

yeah.. it hurt pretty bad. I was very luck. The only body panel not damaged ont eh car was the roof, and the drivers door! Talka bout luck.... the cops were amazed I was walking.

I had to have another ls1 after that...

I loved that car.

I literally drove into the rain as I was changing lanes, and instantly hydroplaned, before I knew it I was sideways and hittin the guardrails and spinning.

I have more pics.

before...

florida state wont let you buy back a totalled car.

so i swapped stock ls1 parts with its... :-D

I got the ls6 manifold (it was an 01 car... he he) replaced with a ls1 manifold, took my heads, took the ss spoiler, took interior trim, took the ported tb (didnt replace it), took the MTI pushrods, left the rockers layin on the floor, tookt he power steerin pump too (didnt feel like removing it from the head).

THey wouldnt even let me do that for a long time, or I would have swapped everything over.... I wrecked the car july 17th.... got my parts finally on Oct 25th... oh.. the car hasnt even been paid off yet even though I owed about 1k less than it was worth, the bastards

DAAMMNN, that sux. That was one badass looking car, and 11.68. That must have been one crazy accident, those pics are horrific. You are one lucky man to come out of that alright. But good look with your new car...TA's are more fun.

yeah.. it was a crazy wreck. there were 4 other cars that lost it in about 5 minutes in the area as well (so I didnt feel as bad).

spun out, hit guardrail nose first, then spun a few times hit a car with the *** end, then spun a few more times and hit an embankment... i dont remember most of the ride, just flashes.

heres a few more pics :-D, cleaned her up some today.

Man you were lucky, that camaro was wasted. Nice pics except, I think you should of parked somewhere else so that the brown vehicle with the blown tire wouldn't have hurt the beauty of the pics. IMHO
Oh and nice parking job. J/K

-Owner wrecks Camaro
-Owner contemplates accident and naturally thinks about what he can do to avoid it again
-Owner and decides he will try to avoid future accident by going with a Pontiac this time...

Anyway, good that you were ok, and new ride looks sweet, good luck with her...

As long as I'm not the only one. I sold my 1st Z28 about 4 months ago when I bought a motorcycle. After seeing a friend nearly die on his I'm a little paranoid on mine so that means it is time to get rid of the bike. Already have my new camaro picked out. Sorry about your Z, and im sure you'll enjoy the WS6 just as much. They are almost the "luxury" ls1.

Sorry about the Camaro, but the T/A looks great!

If I were to get one, I'd be a black/black 02 for sure. I love the new style wheels (they look like 93-95 Firehawk Ronal wheels to me).

Actually.... I'm confused...

It looks like you wrecked in a neighborhood. I also don't see any guard rails around, nor do I see anyway you could've been changing lanes. The only thing I can think is this is where you got your car towed to???

thanks guys.

Insurance for me (i'm 21) is 165 a month (that covers my other vehicle as well) with a 100 comp deduct and 250 coll. deduct

Picture was taken at the auto salvage auction, they took it off their lot so I could take my stuff off it since the ins. company wouldnt pay me for any of it.

yikes!

i was coming back from ft. worth last night and where I-820 comes to I-30, i saw an aweful sight. it had starting raining buckets and i exited at exit 3a, towards weatherford, and at the end traffic was at a dead stop. we slowly rolled by a busted up van, and to my suprise, what was a freakishly banged up new C6! the site was aweful, much like of your car! anyone in the DFW area, start patrolling the junk yards for a totalled C6!
