Default th400 swap completed, how do i get my speedo to work??

I just got my th400 installed, the guy who built it included a sensor and whaever else in the transmission. I had to buy a Speedo sensor connector for a 1990 454 SS truck with the 3 speed th400 transmission. This connecter has two white wires. What wires on the stock harness do i splice them to?

I cant help ya on your question, but what are the details of your TH400. How do you like it so far, drivablity etc. Stock gearing? What stall and rear end gear do you have?
How does she spin at high speeds -RPM wise . ..

Thumbs up HHMMM...two answers...one post

? #1 My speed sensor accepted a two prong plug in...Damn! can't find the part number right now..basically a 4l60E speed sensor plug. The plug with the two "white" wires you are describing sounds like the one I had. Just connect/splice 'em into the speed sensor wire that was connected to the oringinal tranny!?

#2 My TH400 is race built by Ellis. I am running a Frank Lupo 4200 stall TC. At 60 mph I am turning about 3400 RPM by the stock tach. Take out the fudge factor in the stock tach and I figure I am running about 3200 RPM at 60 MPH. This is with 3.73 rear gears.

Definatley not a 70 MPH highway driver for long distances now! Especially with longtubes, no cat and a Flowmaster!
