Default Rocker knock

So I have a 01 SS with the 5.7
Running Chevron Synthetic and have noticed a loud knock in the mornings since it has turned cold. Is this a characteristic of the syn or something else? Should I go back to normal oil?

I had the same thing happen. That is normal for ls1's. I would continue running syn.
