Default GM Key Copies - Where?

I'm assuming I can go to the dealership and get a spare set of keys cut - has anyone done this? How much? and of course, how much is a new "fob"

(search ****'s - I did 8 searches on copies, keys etc. before asking...)

The door key can be made anywhere. The ignition key with the little Pass Key Chip would have to be purchased at the Stealer. Replacement "Fobs" I have found them on E-Bay and Auto ZOne has been advertising replacement "Fobs".

thanks for the info...

I can't wait to go ask for a new "fob". That might be the gayest word ever.

your owners manual should cover the program of the key fob

1. Pull radio fuse

2. Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to RUN 3 times within 5 seconds
You will know when you have done it right because the doors will lock and unlock and the hatch release will pop. (leave key in RUN position the last time)

3. Hold lock and unlock in the remote for 16 seconds
The doors will lock/unlock and the hatch will pop again to give feedback a transmission has been recognized. Wait for the doors to unlock before procceding.

4. turn the ignition off and replace the radio fuse

I thought you were messing around with the whole remote vs. fob thing - didn't know you were serious. I'll be at the meeting tomorrow if you have one for me!

Thanks

I have no clue if its going to work though... if it doesn't I'll just put it in the bin with the others...
Don't let everyone know that I am walking around with 5 remotes because then everyone will want one
