Default Stock LS1 Cyl. Airflow #'s

Anybody have flow #'s from stock LS1 heads?? I know it's odd but I'd like to know before we spend some $$ on heads..

Anything you guys can give me would be great...

Thanks
Chris

Most flow around high 230 and mid 170. The 241s do a little better in stock form.

luckily I'm pretty sure that's what's on it as That's what was on the old motor. In other words I want to make sure they'll support the TSP 231/237 Cam with 918 springs and TSP pushrods...

Car is '00 TA A4.

going to get an FLP STG4 with a 4400 stall
Strange 12 bolt
rear suspension
and Flowtech LT's

Just doing a cam car.

The '00 should have 853s on it so get a head that will gain ya 35 cfm or better(on any bench) and you will be fine.

that's odd because the heads I have sitting on the garage floor are 241's....Maybe I'll just put the old heads on it when I do the cam swap....Maybe I got lucky and the *new* heads are the same thing...

Not necessarily. A friend of mine has been looking at '00's this week, and so far all that we have looked at have 241 heads.

they are 200cc for the intake and 70cc for the exhaust , the LT1 is 160 comapred to 200 in the LS1 , anyways the Ls1 heads is counted as super stock .. but the problem is with the compression which is 10.1 for the ls1 .. while the ls6 is 10.5 WooW haa , thats why we use them instead of the LS1 heads plus they got better flow 210cc intake and 75 exhaust ... i recommend u NOT to go above the 225 if u dont have inforced air system .

The stock LS1 heads that I have cc'd out have 75cc exhaust runners instead of the advertised 70.

i thought it was 208cc on the intake and 78c on the exhaust, the shop near me does stock eliminator nhra stuff, he's checked all the castings and says they are around there. nhra puts the numbers for super stock as 210 and 80. he wondered how a few porters on this board get a 212 or so intake runner that flows 300 cfm?? taking out 4 cc's????? i wouldnt think thats the truth.

853s are the ones that I had cc'd, I do not think anyones is off. I have seen anywhere from 198-203 on these sand cast heads, I have yet to cc out some 241s but will soon since I have a pair. BTW, real nice info SPANKY!
