Default spare wheel ???

I was wondering if it is safe to use the spare WHEEL to run as a front "skinny" while drag racing. In other words, buy another spare wheel, junk the tires and buy new front runners. Is the wheel it self strong enough?
I know the tires have low limits, but what about the wheel?

Are you in that much of a hurry to kill yourself?

wtf, mate? are you smokin crack? no....no no no. no spare tires as skinnies. thats why they make skinnies, otherwise everyone would use their spare tire.

If I'm not mistaken it says in your owner's manual that you shouldn't go over 50-60 mph with the spare tire. So that idea is definately out.

I can only give my opinion it could be wrong but I would think if you ditched the tires that came on the rim and put some speed rated tires on there it would be ok. Those rims are still not that light. I think some real skinnies would be a good bit lighter. On my way home tonight I was wondering where I could get some nice Draglites for cheap. It would save $$ on tires in the long run.

OK guys, I was just thinking about this, I have not done anything. If I was to try it, I would NOT USE THE SPARE TIRE, but, buy the actual front runner skinny tire and mount it to the spare wheel.

My question is, IS THE SPARE WHEEL STRONG ENOUGH?

i barley trust my tires/wheels im on to run over 100 mph , a flimsy stamped steel one would leave me a bit shaken!!

thats a good idea though, if the wheels were strong enough. i wouldnt try it though, probably wont help much anyway. not worth the risk.

i thought about puttin some spares from my car and my buddies car on the front of my saturn for some MADDDDDD burnout action
