Default need help!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to open my friends edit file for 99 ta,with my laptop and edit software for my 01 ta.when I dowload the file and click open it says from a ocm you did not license.why cant I open it or how can I open it any help appretiated.

LS1-Edit breaks down the years like this: 97-98, 99-00, 01-02. So your version should be able to scan/open any other 01 or 02 file (but not write), but nothing else unless you paid more money.

Someone must have the '99 version if it's in a .ls1 file already. You can have them do the work for you, or pay Carputing for an additional license on your cable.

that is dumb.why would the not let you copy tables from sombody else.you have already paid them for edit why would they lock it like that?is there any way they can unlock it on the software part so I can at least copy tables and etc.?

Just to clarify, I think HPTuners Standard Editor will allow you to open any model years saved .bin file. It'll allow you to read/write the PCM of the same model/years for which you paid.
