Default LS6 valves and 7.4 rods ? ?

I have done a search on the LS6 valves and learned that quite a few people are stating to go with the 7.35 rods for the longer LS6 valves. In looking at some "package" deals for LS1/LS6 valvetrain upgrades, on some web sites, I'm seeing that it gives the 7.4 rod for both (LS1/LS6).
....what's the deal here ?

Reason for my asking, is that I have stock heads (milled) with the LS6 valves. I have more valvetrain noise than I'm comfortable with and wonder if the 7.35 rods would "help" this situation/issue due to the longer rods.

HELP

I would think that since the pushrods are longer the valve wouldnt contact the seat (or as hard) as with the 735s making it quieter...
I am running 740s in mine unmilled.
I think since yours are milled theres no question that you should be using the 735s.

Ah, thanks.
I believe that's the answer that I'm looking for......shorter rod needed due to the milling. (right in front of my face)
