Default Noob Question About Revving

Does revving the car in neutral have any hindering impact on the car's engine? Could revving the car too much cause any profound damage on the car's engine itself. Thanks.

Aint the best thing to be doing, The engine isnt under any kind of load in neutral so it accelerates faster, putting more stress on the shortblock.

I wouldn't be throwing 6k revs at people. If you want to rev it up to like 4 grand it shouldn't hurt anything.
