Default Finally! Slammed-Am got his Trans-Am!

Well, the time has come. I found my dream today. At Carmax .

Heh, well it is a:

1999
Black
M6
(Non-Ws6 )
Camel? /Tan Interior
44k miles
"No haggle" cost : $15,585

The only modification was a Borla exhaust. It is in immaculate condition and drives really strong. I plan on taking it to a dyno soon.

I'm so excited. I'm the kid that posted the Ls1 or Lt1? thread. I really appreciate the help, guidance and support I recieved here.

WOW....A Trans-Am.. Going from a 134k mile Explorer to a T/A..All I could say was WOW.

I've never even ridden (or drove) in an ls1....but when I took her for a test drive...Let's just say It brought a BIG smile to my face.

i know which car you bought because i had that same car transfered to the Southwest carmax and man does it sound sweet. I have pictures of the car on my phone, it has the hurst shifter, t tops, tan leather interior, and tint. I'm happy for you and hopefully i'll get my red 2000 trans am tomorrow if the financing goes good. The thing that made me pass up on the car was the price, the car im looking at is $13,500 with 61k miles on it.

If you bought it all ready then Grats on the new ride. If not then you may want to keep looking. They are asking IMO about 2K more then that car should be sold for.

Thank for the congrats. guys. I know I didn't get a smoking deal but the Red/Black M6's were going fast in my area. I am financing the car through my parents, and they are the type that likes to buy through a dealership. I found an extremely clean one (looks like a weekend driver, hence the low miles) and was ready to buy. I posted the price to let people know everything, not to get flamed or criticized. And yes, I did buy the car.

Badness, I did see your car listed on ebay and would've jumped on it, but wasn't quite ready to buy. Congrats on the car though.

After I finish the vital mods, on to wheels/tires/SLAM.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from was an eBay dealership...complete license and all. He had the starting bid listed at $14k and the buy-it-now listed at 15.9k. I called him and offered him 15k and he told me okay and to buy it now. He paid for my plane ticket and when I got there there were a couple things wrong with it not indicated on the auction so i ended up talking him down $500 after the ticket bringing a total price or 14,316....now I've gotta go pay the taxes for it here in Ohio :-( sucks!

As for your car not being ws6 (like mine)...make it a sleeper and show up the ws6 guys ;-)

Post a pic of your ride!

Hey Slammed-am, I'm glad to see you are finally living your dream of owning a T/A! Sounds like a nice ride. Hopefully we can let our little "grudge" go. And like "Badness" said even though it's not a WS-6 you can make it one hell of a sleeper car. And yes, post some pics! Have FUN man!

Thanks man, I will get pics up as soon as I can. No grudge here, just some healthy argumentation. Now I "OWN one"!

J/J man, peace.

Got one from Ebay also, 2000 Camaro for 11,800. 30K miles. NBM with the beige interior. Folks had to get it (damned credit rating) and since they live in NY (sigh) it has to be registered in NY.
