Default update on my vig3200

Well guys I just wanted to update you all on my vig. 3200 installation on my ws6. It is awesome. I have to learn how to drive it all over again and my nittos 555drs are not liking me. The converter goes nuts just when I step on it, it stalls right up to 3500ish pretty good. After every shift at 6200 it only drops like 1000rpm to around 5100ish or so. The tranny shifts very cleanly even with my transgo shift kit with the firmest springs. I have tried different launch techniques but still smoke'em I used to launch at 1800 and dead hook now it is a complete smoke show. I have to stall up to about 2500 or so and then let it roll out like 10 feet then nail it. Breaks loose a good amount but it is tolerable. Anyway I just wanted to tell you all my $.02 about the Vigilante 3200 stall lock up. Oh yeah one more thing don't put your car in neutral otherwise it will not shift gears until you turn it off and back on again so the computer resets itself.

Glad you like it. And yeah, even nittos do not like it. Once you learn to launch they can be quite brutal on the street. As for the shift extension, you must have a few more mods than I do. I fall to around 4600 I think. , never heard of your neutral issue Has it been tuned yet? Perhaps your running into some torque manangement issues.

Sounds great! But you can't shift into neutral to rev or anything if you want to?

What Vig do you have?
I HAD the Vig 3600 and it did not hit as hard as this Yank SS4000.
The Vig 3600 would not spin the E/T streets at the track even if stalled up or flashed off idle.
The Yank has boiled the SAME E/T streets from a idle flash or if stalled up.

The Vig 3600 would stall at about 4200 on stock internals and almost 5200 on the bottle. The Yank SS4000 likes the bottle much better.

Both are good convertors,IMHO. But my car likes the Yank better.

you should be able to hook the ET streets. I have a bone stock suspension and they work great. What psi are you running them at. They need to be between 15 and 18lbs with a decent amount of heat.

Default Vig 3200

Thx for the input on the new Vig 3200 install. I just ordered a Vig 3200 last week, ahould get it on monday. Sounds like I will have a BLAST with mine once its in. Did you guys install the TC yourselves? I am curious because thats what I will do. Just want to know of any issues/tricks I may encounter pulling the trans or replacing it.

I found that if I leave just off a idle right at 1000 rpms this converter works the best with my set up. As far as install goes I did it myself and the only thing I did was remove check ball in the input shft and install new front pump seal.

That's awesome! I just ordered one last week too. Right now it's sitting in my room begging me to install it. I'm just waiting to get some drag radials before I do.

Install it anyway, I daily drive mine on street tires and it still comes in handy. Nothing beats pulling up to another car at 30mph then being able to blow your tires away. Modified 1st gear shift points are fun

It is not really TM but "trans abuse mode" that makes ity fall on it's face. I've as much as 0* in timing retard when it does that. That is more like fall on its ***. LOL

well so much for the TC install.......soem dumb 16yo chick rear ended my SS last night. A witness told me she never even slowed down, was not paying attention as to where the f*** she was going. Damage is extensive, body lines dont even match at the front of the car. Had it been a dude, trust I prob would have been in jail last night. Some **** sucker did a hit and run on the fwy EXACTLY a week ago last night in my work truck, so now I have NO vehicle to drive. Anyone who knows me will say I am maybe a little too **** when it comes to my car, so this is a serious blow to me personally. Thx for listening, just had to vent.
