are they worth what...if you are wondering if they make power...yes just as much as any other long tubed header...do they last long...depends on where you live...typically they last fairly well...not like stainless though...are they a good header for the money...yes indeed

edit: i suppose you have an lt1...i know nothing about these...the info above was given on the ls1 style lt race header (coated)

YES! Especially if you have plans for a cam or something like that.

By "race", it means that they have no AIR and EGR fittings. Thats all.

I bought my Jethots for $500 coated and couldn't be happier. I picked up 31 rwhp. I'd say they were worth it. Still look awesome after 6 months. Oops, just saw you have a lt1, I don't know about jack on those anymore.

i've heard mixed opinions on pacesetter,
a. they are cheap
b. They are worth the money,

i have never owned a set, but i would give them a try if you want, if you can go with something proven like kooks or qtp i'd reccomend a set of those

thanks for all the replies. i forgot to mention its a 98 ls1 inside, i just ordered a g5x3 cam, dual gold spring kit, a bunch of suspension crap, and when i came down to headers i ran short on $$ for the kooks.

btw i know "race" style means no air/egr.

Also looking into theese headers. I noticed on speedinc, they only have a y-pipe that is offroad. Does pacesetter sell ypipes that have cats on them?

TSP does! and have free shipping on them this week(In the group purchase forum). Of course, I'm still waiting for them to ship my pacesetter headers and their ORY I ordered two weeks ago. In their defense, they are still waiting on them from pacesetter.

What type of cats do they use on their ORY? I might just make my own, with carsound cats and flowmaster merge collector.

No cats on the ORY. Not sure what kind of cats they use on their emission freindly Y. I'd call them if interested, they hardly answer any posts directed at them.
