You think 9.5 wide in the back would fit with those tires? 8 in the front?

My rear wheels have a nice size lip on them, but it's not a smooth lip, just look:

TTII's 17x11 and 17x9.5 with 315's and 275's

They're 17" all around, idk why they look different sizes though. Maybe the beefier tire does it.

I see a couple of you guys have 11" wide in the back and 9" in the front...are those good sizes for hooking and looks? What comes standard on a non WS6 T/A?

Heck yeah, Having 315/35/17 meats on a nice wide 11" rim out back like that looks awesome. It fills out the rear wheel wells nicely, bring the tires just inside the fender lip which altogether = real aggressive stance. Looks real bad *** from any angle and especially for the cars that are behind you staring at your *** which is where they should be As far as traction, of course the wider rim allows for better traction options. I have Nitto Drag radials out back which provides pretty good traction in the summer although I hear the BFG drag radials are better.

personally, i prefer the LOOK of 18's or even 19's on an Fbody, but I MUCH prefer the ride of 17's (not to mention much cheaper cost for tires and less HP loss) These wheels and tires ride no rougher than stock. however, the 18" Z06 wheels I put on my girlfriend's TA made it ride much harsher. Thats why I went with 17's. But IMO, if you are going to go 17's you have to get the big 17X11's w/ the meats out back...it makes up a LOT in the looks department from the sacrifice in looks compared to an 18" or 19" wheel.

PS-standard WS6 wheels are 17X9 on all 4. Base TA wheels were 16X8 I think, which judging by your picture is what you have. You definitely need some wheels. My GF's TA had those 16X8's on it and when we put the chrome Z06's on it, it totally transformed the looks of it. She went from eh, its ok, to wow thats awesome looking!

I guess I'll have to check out some fbody event and look at tires and rims and see what I like up close. I definately want a tire that hooks better for street racing so I'll probably go with 11" wide on the back for sure. Do 9" wide on the front interefere with steering any?

No, 17X9 or 17X9.5 wheels on the front are fine. if your car is lowered you may get some rubbing w/ 17X 11's out back which is usually easily resolved. Also you usually have to jack the car up by the axle to keep the springs compressed to get them on there. And one final thing, Nitto's run a little smaller than other tires like BFG, so you shouldn't get any rubbing with 315 nitto's but likely will with 315 BFG's even if your not lowered. But again, this is usually easily remedied by any shop or yourself if your good with the BFH mod (Big fuggin hammer)

My car isn't lowered and I don't plan on lowering it. I'll probably go with 17 or 18's, can't decide yet...not 19's as I don't want to lose too much acceleration.

Yes those wheels are gorgeous but the asking price is like $3k. and again, they will ride much firmer than 17's.

Lots of places but a popular place to get them would be from Todd @ Discount Tire Direct.
