Car won't start on the first try..
Lately, whenever I try to start the car. It never catches the first time. It turns over, I stop, and when I turn the key the second time. It fires right up. It started doing this about 2 weeks ago now. I just now figured that this may be tied in to why the car randomly bogs down when I'm tryin to accelerate.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any info?
Recent changes made:
Pacesetter LTs and ORY.. swapped out for stock manifolds and cats.
mail order cali smog tune from NoGo
new plugs
new fuel filter
cleaned maf
I'm lost ????

fuel pump relay might be to blame for your starting problems? maby the bogging is related to somthing else if thats the case??
get someone to put their finger on it and turn the key to run and see if it clicks, or listen to see if the pump comes on when you turn the key on.
but i was wondering why you switched back to manifolds/cats?

I think I may have found the problem for the bogging and slow starting. Crank position sensor. I forgot to put the oil dipstick tube in and everything around the starter was covered in oil. I'm thinking that I contaminated that connector somehow. I'm checking it out tomorrow.

Thanks..
From all of the advice I've recieved from you guys, I have a list of about 6 possiblilities. I'll be sure you update my posts tomorrow once I find out what the problem is.
