)2 sensor question. Is it better to use the extensions or just buy longer 02 sensors I tried cutting/splicing my replacement 02 sensors, but was told by a tuner that would likely afect the resistance and thus the accuracy. I have purchased longer ones from NAPA (about $80 each) that seem to work OK. I found a webiste that sells )2 sensors for about $60 for 2000 Z28. The extensions at supporting vendors are about $16-$22 each. Is there any problems using the extensions OR the longer ones from NAPA? Thanks

The only place the resistance matters, is to the heaters.
The sensor legs themselves feed a very high impedance
input pin pair and your crimp-job would have to be for
schnitzel, to make a difference. Unfortunately the wire
for the O2s doesn't like solder.
If you're doing this for headers I think you should go for
the 'vette O2s that have the longer wires, standard.
Maybe these are what your long-wire ones are, already.
Several recent posts about the 'vette part numbers.
