Who is it safe to buy TBs from now?
I have been trying to decide who to buy a throttle body from, but every time I decide which one to get I read some horror story about how they never returned a core charge, or never shipped the TB, or never even responded to an email. So who is safe to order from? I was thinking Shaner, but has anybody gotten anything from him lately?

If you go to Shaner's website, you can see that he is in the process of getting results for a new billet TB. These should be better than his s2/s3 and will be available in December hopefully, and for the first 30 or so orders, they will be at a lot lower price. I am waiting to see the results, but I am either going with a S3 or the Billet.

I went by Marks (Shaner) place on Thursday and checked out the progress on the new billet tb. It should be awsome. I have had an S2 for about 3 years, and was going to go with the S3 now that I have a turbo. I may just wait for the new one. Either way, Shaner is a stand up guy and will treat all of his customers right.

Its not that difficult.. A dremel and some epoxy... Well, that what I used..

I can do one for you, pm me. Or I can point you in the right direction on porting it yourself, its not horribly difficult to do unless you want a mirror shine, that makes it a little more difficult.

I can't find any details anywhere...what in the heck is the difference between the Shaner S2 and S3? They look exactly the same to me. I would just port and polish it myself, but I want to get the lip bored out, and I think that should be done by machine.
