Default Good Morning from England

Good morning ol' beans,

Hope you are all good, was shown a link to the whole top gear "english hate yank tanks" thread, what a load of bollocks, and im surprised some of you guys actually took the bate.Remember its one English journalist, not "the english" and obviously has nothing to do with the other UK "states" if you like (wales, northern ireland, scotland). Everyone loves a v8 and if they pretend not to, then theyre obviously homo inclined Although to be fair, all engines require a turbocharger for good measure and the whistle and dump sounds. An LS1 has just come up for sale near me, but its an auto and doesnt seem very quik(well not what i thought anyway) were there many manuals?

All the best
Mark

Yeah, manuals are pretty easy to come by over here. I am entertaining offers for mine right now...

That pound-dollar exchange rate is very favorable for you right now, *hint hint*

I think people took offense at the top gear vid because the Englishman was bashing the C6. It's kinda like who is he to talk **** about an American car. Clearly he was biased and that is what made people mad.

He wasn't being offensive per se, he just said there were a few faults.

God, you guys should have seen last night's episode. The had the new Aston Martin Vanquish S. Lovely car, but it kept breaking! Wouldn't select the right gear etc.... it's got those silly paddle things to change gear with.

Anyway, just watched another programme over here called 5th Gear and Vicki Butler-Henderson (racing driver family) managed to break it twice!

However, even though it has its faults, it is a magnificent car and I would have one over a Ferrari any day.

Must say, I really enjoy 5th gear (Thank god for the speed channel). One of the most entertaining car shows on T.V. Much better humor than you find on most of the american car testing shows.

They often fall short in the "interesting car" department from the episodes I've seen though. I'd gladly trade it for Top Gear.
