13,795 fun-filled miles later it's time for new tires. The only run flats I can find are the Goodyears. Wouldn't mind something else - still high performance but a bit more durable. I know some people are not replacing with run flats. Any specific recommendations are appreciated.

13,000 miles! WOW

I got 5000 out of my goodyears, installed a set of used bridgestones to try a 265 on the back. It fits perfect.

But I got new tires and wheels on order from what I hear when it comes to traction/tire life/and handling you cant beat the Michelin's.

What are some other peoples opinion's and experiences??

Oh and PS. why you worried about the run flats? You got onstar wouldnt you call them if you got a flat anyway? :hail: :hail: :hail:

Turned 17,100 miles today. Went through 2 sets of GY runflats before I got smart. Now I have the F1 GSD3's and couldn't be happier. I drive VERY aggressively and I have yet to make a dent in the tread. These hold up extremely well. Also agree that you can't go wrong with Michelins either. Also hearing good things about Pole Positions too. I love the tread pattern on the GSD3's, I get a lot of comments on that alone.

The good year run flats were horrible. Got a set of Michelin ps 2's and love them. I have always been a fan of Mitchelin tires and these didn't fail my expectations. The ps 2's are a real winner.
