Default Cam questions (comparing)

TSP 231/237 .598/.595 112
TSP MS3 237/242 .603/.609 113
TSP 240/240 .608/.608 112(if it would clear stock heads)
TR 230/224 .575/.563 111
TSP torquer 233/233 .589/.589 112

These are the cams I am looking at, my questions are

A: Which would show the best 1/4 times
B: Which is the most streetable
C: Which would show the most horsepower/torque
D: Will the TSP 240/240 112 clear stock heads?

you definately need headers before you put any of the selected cams in. i would call texas speed and tell them what your looking for and they would be able to tell you which cam would be best. i dont think the 240/240 will clear even with stock heads. the 233/233 would probably have the best street manners. the biggest that clears with stock (not milled) heads is the ms3 that texas offers. but definately do headers before your cam or you wont be happy with the performance.

my cam is basically the same lift as the 240/240 has and its 1/4 mile performance has been proven by a few different cars. just something to think about. its a TR 242/248 608/612 on stock heads

I would go with the MS3, it's similar to the cam I am running right now. There are lots of info already on it that you can find by doing a search for "MS3" "Magic Stick" or "TSP" in both the Internal forum and Dyno forum.

Here's my graph: www.texas-speed.com/caindyno.jpg
