To anyone that's bought Torque Thrust IIs
How much did the rims alone cost you? Where did you find them? I'm looking for some Torque Thrust II Classics (in that flat black, greyish kinda color) I'm looking for them in 16s though. Don't have enough money to buy 17s.

The torque thrust II is a 2 piece design. I think what you are looking for is the smaller one piece design. They are cheaper and there are several clones out there. Try looking for "bullit" rims.
Here is a pic of a 1 piece design, notice the lip shape compared to the TTII 2-piece lip shape.

Wow, that's pretty bad ***... Thanks a lot. I'd rather pay that than 300 each rim. Thanks a lot. Do they sell to the public? If that was your T/A in those pics, it looks MEAN. Very nice looking car.

I just remembered, I think Discount Tire Direct carries the bullit rims. There is a Todd from DTD here on these forums.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=7691
He's a sponsor and might be able to get you a deal on them.
BTW, I don't remember seeing a 16" version, only 15, 17" and 18".
Good luck.

I already went to Discount Tire, 125$ plus shipping. The guy was also selling me lugnuts and other stuff, total came out to 700$. My question now is do I really need the lugnuts?? Can't I just use the ones that I've already got?? I'm going to end up getting 17s since they're so damn cheap. Another thing I thought was cool (don't know if it's true though) is the guy helping me said that the center cap is going to have the Corvette flags on them. Now I just need to sell my rims and tires to get these. Thanks again Jason. And if Todd reads this. Is there anyway you can help out?? One more thing, I'm planning on getting them in silver... Will they be that color of the pics you posted? Or are they a darker silver??

You could use the old lugnuts but it won't look good with that black cap on them. I would just get the lugnuts its not that much for them. When I got my TT2s Discount tire gave me the lugnuts for free.

Discount Tire Direct is the online store for Discount Tire.
I gave you a link to Todds ID (it changed somehow, link is now fixed Todd@DiscountTireDirect), just PM him about some prices on that style of rim.
Here is a pic I found on their site:
And the page it is from:
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...0.5&bp=5-114.3
I'm guessing that is an accurate pic. Usually places tend to add lugnuts for free. When I got my TTII's, the shop threw in chrome lugs, chrome valve stems and caps and chrome locks (1 per rim). If they won't do it, then I would just get them myself. It will make the rims look way better. Get locks, too.

Thanks a lot man, I REALLY appreciate your help. If we ever cross paths(I live about 5 hours from houston), I'm buying you a pizza, beer, and chicken wings... I really like the rims I've got now (Chrome 10 spoke Z28 rims that came on 2002s). I've seen too many cars with them. These rims are pretty expensive, last time I checked they were selling them for about 425 each rims, WITHOUT the centercap. Thanks again man.

You mean those weird asymmetrical 16" rims?
Those are going for $400ea.? That price is what made me think you had the SS rims.
You can get the painted versions of those for $100ea. So chrome, I wouldn't think would be that much more. Maybe $200ea. I don't know.
For posting pics, try out:

They recently limited space to 25MB (used to be unlimited), but that is still over 200 big pics and all free.

Did I misunderstand what you were saying?

I have no idea. What about it don't you understand?? The rims I've got were selling for 425$ on this ONE website and they didn't include the centercap.

One more question, Since I'm switching from 16s to 17s, would I have to adjust the speedometer?? I already have some tires here... 275/40/17...The rims I'm getting are 17 x 8. So would I have to adjust the speedometer?

Just get a tire with the same overall diameter as the stock tire. The speedo will never know the difference.
The stock diameter is 25.7", so there are several tires to choose.
225/55/16
245/50/16
275/40/17
315/35/17 are all stock diameter.
You can go slightly taller or shorter and the speedo will still be very close.
Since you already have 275/40/17's then that will not effect the speedo at all. The bad news is that they are designed to fit 9"-10.5" rims. An 8" wide rim is too narrow to fit it properly. so it will be bulged out on the sides and probably not have a good contact patch which will wear it more in the center of the tread and not give as good a grip compared to a 9" rim. I think it can be done, but it has a lot of down sides. Loss of performance being the biggest.
