Default HPE "S" Cam Dyno Results!!!

First off...a BIG thanks to Chuck, Josh, Rick, Steven, and the rest of the crew at HPE.

To start with....i was crossing my fingers for 400-405 at the wheels with the new setup, especially since i was going to be running the Kooks 1 7/8ths, and running through the exhaust(NO CUTOUT).

The setup is a Kooks, O/R Y, Borla C/B, FAST 90mm intake/throttle body,Z06MAF and of course, the HPE's "S" cam.

Car was dynoed in street driving form-belt etc all in place. We will dyno with a cutout installed and open soon, and see if we can hit 430-435rwhp sae

The result was 424 @ 6500 SAE torque was probably in the 370 range...the dyno was reading spikes and giving a high number.

So without further adeu, here is the graph and vids....

Here's the cam at idle: http://www.horsepowerengineering.com/media/MOV01344.MPG

What's the idle like? I'd imagine that 115 LSA would keep it fairly tame.

Nice Hp numbers but the lowend @ midrange torque is really low and lazy. I would think that large of cam would make more rwtq?

I have yet to see another cam only car, on my dyno, do any better. This combination made more peak, and almost identical midrange power, compared to a heads/cam car from another local shop, that is nationally known. Torque might not be the greatest, but you are exactly wrong in the fact that a big cam like this should be making more. That is absolutely not the case. Bigger cams leak off more cylinder pressure, so they make less torque than smaller cams.

So this is cam only or h/c? Either way good numbers all things considered (belt,no cutout etc).
