Default 2004 truck coil packs

Will 2004 truck coil packs work on an ls-6 engine.

I think the PN# is 12556450

Thanks

From everything I've read they'll work.

They work just fine. You will need the small harness that goes from each coil to the gray connector on each side, and the coil tray that bolts to the valve cover as the coil body is slightly different.

From there, they just plug in.

And you need truck wires since the coils will sit higher. I am running the truck coils/trays/harness + MSD Truck wires.

How would this setup compare to the MSD Blaster coil setup? The MSD setup is expensive at around $65 bucks a coil. I tried searching for it but its not working right now.

1. Do the truck coils have a stronger spark?
2. What is the advantage over stock coils packs?
3. Are the 2004 truck coils packs the only year that will work?

TIA

I just priced the truck coil packs for a 2004 6.0 liter truck engine. They sell 2 brands both of which will do the job. I also get a discounted price so these are the discounted prices.

DELPHI coil packs $60.39 each
Mitsubisi coil packs $35.29 each
Bracket $35.70 each
wiring harness $84.00 each

Delphi or Mitsubisi? How much better are the truck coil packs over the stock LS1 coils packs?

The new MSD coil packs don't sound too bad now.
