Default carb on a ls1/ls6

has anyone ever done this or know about this? I was looking in jegs and there is a kit to put a 4 bar. carb on the ls1/ls6 what would be the benfits of this?? would you gain more hp then you would with the fuel injection and the intake manifold?? and help would be appreciated

Yeah, you'd make more power from the intake, not really the carb. A big single plane is better for top end HP.

I wouldn't mind a big single plane intake with an 1100 CFM TB on top.

Retro-fits, hybrids, street rods, etc. are typical applications for the carb setup.

I think I read somewhere that with the Edelbrock manifold and carburetor only 1 hp was gained.

i guess the cost and the hassle b/c you can buy the 90mm fast intake and 90mm tb and gain just as much hp and its a direct bolt on no wires to deal with + you will probably need a bigger hood. think about it the intake with the carb sitting on it then a air filter much taller than the regular intakes
