Coated vs. uncoated hedders

FWIW, my uncoated Pacesetter's on my 94 Camaro warped in a month and left me with a nasty exhaust leak when the header didn't fit square against the head anymore. I now have Hooker coated LT's with no issues.

I don't think the coating makes the headers stronger? If so, that is new to me. I ordered uncoated because my manifolds were uncoated and the rust color didn't bother me one bit 
They lasted for 6 years with no leaks or nothing. We will see how long these last.

Guess ill shoot for some pacesetter longtubes coated( jus to be on the safe side) ive heard alot of good things bout paces being good quality/fit etc etc
I have a set of SLP 1 /34 LTs but dont wanna em. I already put a small dent in the passenger side one. For $800
