What should my car Shift At???5700 RPMS??
Ok...i was driven my car and i noticed my tachometer has little | || ||| dashed lines in between 5600 and 6000 but then when i revved my car to wot and went through the gears i noticed...it was shifting in the red a little over 6000 what could be cAUSING THIS ...is THIS BAD!!??!?!!?! ...i figgd it would be since its shifting barely into the red..im worried some like this is gonna happen

I don't know about the shift points in the automatic, but with the M6 the rev limiter is set at 6200 instead of 5700 like the other gears because the engine reaches the higher rpm's faster than the tach, if its doing it in every gear then I have no idea, hope this helps

sounds normal... I also just checked a stock binary file for a 98 F-Body PCM ... and stock it shows Rev Limiter 6200, and the shift point is 6000 RPM (5900 for 2-3)

the first time i did a WOT run & saw it shift at like6000-6100 i was kinda worried too.
I guess thats normal mine did it, luvmeZ28's does it every time i borrow his car . and the one i test drove before i bought mine did it also. now with the stall and headers i shift at 6,500 limiter at 6,700
