Cartek Cam Dyno Good?
GOT MY CAR DYNOED AT CARTEK IN GARWOOD NJ THE OTHER DAY. IT MADE 384 RWHP AND 362 FTLBS WITH THE FOLLOWING MODS-CARTEK STAGE2X CAM 224 228 DUR.@.050 581INT 588EXHT LIFT WITH A 113 LSA, ROLLMASTER DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING CHAIN, HOOKER SUPER COMPS WITH OFFROAD Y PIPE, BORLA CATBACK, ASP PULLY,GMS AIRLID K&N FILTER, MOSER 12BOLT 4.11 GEARS. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH CARTEK I INSTALLED THE CAM MYSELF AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS I HAD, THIS WAS ONEOF THE BEST SHOPS IVE EVER BEEN TO. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE NUMBERS? ANY ESTIMATIONS ON WHAT IT WILL RUN, I HAVE A M6 AND RUN ON BFG KDW WITH THE EIBACH PROKIT AGX SHOCKS. SORRY FOR THE LONG POST.

I didnt see u have a ported TB listed so if u dont have one u should get one. Also, if its a 2000 or older model LS1 car get an LS6 intake. Didnt see yr of car or intake listed. Assumming ur an 00 or older car w/o ls6 intake & ported TB u would prolly pick up 20-25rwhp tuned. You didnt mention if it was just dynoed or dyno tuned either w/ the 384rwhp numbers.. Was the car tuned on the dyno? If not, then theres another 10-15hp in there ill bet. I see 30-40rwhp more w/ ls6 intake, ported TB, and good tuning assuming you didnt already have any of this. Either way still good #s. JMHO
With good weather/track conditions, great launching/shifting abilities, and a good set of DRs or ET streets( since you have a 12-bolt go w/ et streets or even full slicks if u want)) then mid 11s easy or low 11s w/ slicks all else being the same. that would be my guess. You only live once so have an absolute blast with it man

Hmm why would the year make a difference on the gains with the ls6 intake and ported tb? If he changed the cam.. seems the changes would be the same for both cars? assuming 98-99 vs '00-02. Granted I sometimes dont know my a$$ from a hole in my head )

Thanks for the responses, i should have told you i have a 2001 ss so it already has the ls6 intake but it has the stock TB, and it was dyno tuned I wouldnt of had it dynoed with out a tune because to me it would be a waste of money.
