I am the unofficial Record holder of screw ups in a head/cam job EVER. Here is the nice list.
First off the install itself.
-Stripped head on a head bolt
-3 Stripped intake holes
-The thing the humanic balancer bolts too wouldnt come off, took 5 hours to figure out i was doing it wrong!
-Timing chain off by a damned tooth!
-Put opti*&#$spark on wrong 3 times
-Rockers wouldnt set right till now
-Filter for CAI broke

Ok, Now for the aftermath get this.

-Take intake off again to fix another hole
-Too much timing
-Replace rear end and fuel pump
-Take rear end out 2 days later due to insufficent data from company

Here is the Good part Ready??

Spun 2 rod Bearings

-Get engine out, .010 Valve to Piston clearence.
-New Valve Job
-New Springs
-New Cam (Smaller Cam)

STILL no piston to valve clearence.

-Valves too big in heads
-Have to notch pistons

I am sure i left stuff out.

I hear you on that. Sometimes in spite of best efforts things just don't go your way. I could tell you stories about some of the shit I've done .... but I'm tryin' to uphold my reputation here

For sure when you're working on cars :turd: happens!

Yep my Header install turned into a Heads and cam install because of a stripped bolt.

I've done all kinds of stupid crap, Busted an opti bolt after getting everything back together, busted more wheels studs then I care to admit. But yes for a one time outing I think I'll have to bow down to you!!! The LT1 is a nasty little beast, but when she is healthy she is fun to wake up :P
