Yes Lee did run 10.11 with a forged bottomend, solid roller cam.
With a factory stock bottomend, hyd. cam I went 10.37@129 on 93 octane.

The 10.37 at 129 (vs. my 10.50 at 128) is it for a stock bottom end N/A H/C. I am done with the records...just want to get my new combo (LPE 427) hooked up with a working tranny and go play. I did not build the most radical combo to try to be the fastest...record chasing is fun, but I just want to go fast. Take care, happy holidays, and good luck in reaching all goals. Dave

Dave, yes it was an 01 factory stock bottom end untouched with 14,000 miles on 93 pump gas. It had the AS 5.3 stage 2's that were reworked by Eric @ E.B. Porting. The cam was a custom grind that Joe O had made for me. I only got 5 passes in before it broke
It was my fault though for over revving it. I wish I would have had more time to work with it, but it's too late now.
New rods and pistons are going in and the head is being repaired. We'll see how she does next time out.

Congrats on the new 427 !!

JS...I consider anything that runs stock pistons and rods...stock bottom end.

rings, bearing and rodbolts are integral to a freshen up

Thanks Brian, and thanks for the race weight Hawk..
What about solid roller vs hyd roller,do we count them in this or not?

Looks like a 10.37 is the number...I dont think I'll hit that number but if I can get the car running 10.70's with this mild setup I'll be a very happy camper.

Have a nice holiday...

Lee's 10.11 was solid roller. My 10.37 was Hyd. roller.
Records are made to be broken. They give everyone something to shoot for. Set yourself a goal and see if you can acheive it. Thats the fun of it. When you do it makes all the money and hard work worth while.
