custom pred vs. LS1 edit -what is difference between the two ways of tuning. Only tuning place in my area only does custom predator tuning, is that worth it? How does it compare to what an ls1 edit program can do for you?

There is no comparison. LS1 edit can do so much more its not even funny.
You can get a mail order tune from A sponsor like Speed Inc for around 150 bucks if you are just looking for a lil better tune.
For the price of a predator you can get a dyno tune with free updates.
