Default Please pick my cam for me. Is this one ok?

Hello everyone I am in process of ordering heads/cam. I am sticking with 5.7L heads, and was thinking of the following cam: .601/.591 lift, 228/232 dur @.050 on a 113 lobe seperation. I'm going for a STRONG heads/cam combo, and I want to run 100 MAYBE 150 shot of nitrous on these heads. I am getting titanium springs/retainers/locks to go with these heads. What do you think of this cam for my application. I am looking to dip a 10.9x 1/4 mile mark.

Thank you all.

Hey Mike hows it going? Looking for a cam are you. Who is doing your heads? Is your car a daily driver? Any power adders? Do you already have a converter, if so which one? If you dont already have heads I can set you up with both heads and cam. I am right down the road from you in Wichita Falls Texas. I just need a few more particulars about your combo. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Either 5.3L or 6.0L heads are the way to go with GM castings.

Give me a call at the shop on Friday or Saturday and we can discuss some cam options. Have a Good Thanksgiving.

If you are spraying, you may want to look at the TSP 231/237. It makes good power N/A, and it loves the spray.

Mike,I see your doing well down there

As said above, match your Cam with the heads.I prefer AFR's now since I've seen unreal results personally with them(no ported head has been close that I've tested)

Tell the misses I said

Alright Don. How is the baby doing? We will have to come see you, just getting out of debt, and getting car closed up and buying our FIRST HOUSE!!!! Also I may be going to Afghanistan (I rejoined the National Guard) I missed the army, but didn't want to keep traveling. So a lot is up in air here, but we're going to try and make it up there, and we would love to see you guys.

Go with a proven camshaft, like the t-rex or g5x2/g5x3. If you find someone who knows how to tune, it will drive well.

242/248 .608/.612 110 lsa. It isn't small by any means but with tuning you can get it to drive really well. Worst case you have to 2 foot it while doing low speed sharp turns, but with idle air tuning you can make it really really driveable.
