New Best Bolt On Time: 11.6@118 A4
We packed up the car and headed to capital raceway tonight. I wanted to try a few different launch techniques to see if we could better the 60' times. Before we were footbraking the car to 2000 and getting ~1.75 60's. Tonight we tried flashing the converter and got some great results. Crapitol was prepped as usual, NONE. The water box was a mess since they had mostly import and FWD cars. First pass went quick. Lined the car up after a smokey burnout and flashed the converter.
60' 1.58
330' 4.72
660' 7.41 @90.93
1000' 9.70
1320' 11.64 @ 118.35
The temps and track surface was going the wrong way. We lined up for the second pass and hazed the tires to a 1.68. We went up 2 psi in the tires and combined with the track conditions it just didn't work. I crossed the line 11.78 @ 118.17. By the third round the track was completely SH&T. The car spun bad through 1st and went a 1.7x 60'.
