Default Does this deck height sound right (427)?

I just measured the deck height and I got it at .025. Does this seem a little much? Did a search and guys were getting @ .004 or so, but that was stock cubes. It is a Diamond street/strip dish, 6.125 rod and 4.000 crank fwiw.

I failed to mention that the block has been decked.

Pistons are .025" in the hole?

Seems a bit much to me...

I would assume he means out of the hole..... How much was the block decked? If the reading was accurate, sounds like you need the good ole' GM MLS gasket for proper quench. At least there cheap.......

Yep, but I'm not sure it's accurate. I do not know how much the block was decked. Mr. Joe Prince sent me the block, but I can't ask him how much it was decked because he dissappeared with alot of my money. He sent .052 Cometic gaskets with it. With a .025 deck height, wouldn't that be close to a good quench? FFHP has my heads done, but they still need to mill them and need to know the deck height.
