LS6 intake & nice gains
Went to the track to get some hard numbers after my LS6 intake swap. All I can say is anyone running a cam with the stock LS1 intake should strongly consider ditching it. I also installed a March pulley at the same time but I'm sure the majority of my gains were from the intake.
My previous best trap speed was 113.5mph and last night I ran 2 different 116mph plus runs on bad driving. (116.36) One run I banged off the limiter in 1st gear pretty bad and the 2nd run bogged it outta the hole. I shoulda broke 117.
This is a totally different car now, I must say I'm very pleased. I think I may be close to the 400rwhp mark.

I had it tuned over the summer at MTI after I installed the cam. It made 382hp and 377tq back then. Jayson deleted my egr and such for when I installed the intake. He said tuning would not be necessary if I just swapped the intake. He was right I would say!
Thanks, I don't wanna take any credit away from the pulley either. It's a nice piece, I wish I knew how much of the gain was from it. I was only expecting maybe 3-5rw at the most from the pulley.
tomaSS, good luck on the cam swap. You'll be happy.

Thanks fellas, the weather was better last weekend. One of the local guys said the DA was in the 300s. The weather wasn't bad when I ran before, but definately not as good as last week. It's my own fault I didn't break 117mph due to driving. I also need to do the master drill mod and rebleed my clutch. That will help the shifting.

Ls1bridDRG, what did your e/t end up being? I have been looking at the cam for a while and have the ls6 intake stock and was wondering what someone with similar mods was running with it.

Well, this is how bad it was. I ran my best time on a missed shift. 12.4 @ 112. Also had traction probs on other runs. (12.5 @ 116, 12.6 @ 116)
I should have done better.. I need suspension too.
Thing is, all the runs had different problems of some sort. There's always nexttime. You'll like the cam, very good manners.

I always thought the LS6's were the same anyway. It did come off a Vette because I had to install the linkage inserts for the throttle, but otherwise to my knowledge the same.

Not flaming you but I have done 2 LS6 intake swaps, one being my car and the ET/MPH gains were negligible. My car usually runs high 113-low 114 but if I bog I damn near get 116.Maybe your car was held back by the LS1 intake but I think your test was flawed.

All I can say is the Butt dyno felt it and the numbers on the slips showed it. I don't see how it's so unbelievable for a cammed car to gain 20+ hp with the intake swap and a few more on that with the pulley.
But yes, thanks, and I'm happy.
