Default Talked to dealer about 06 ZO6

So anyway their vette person there told me he would 95 percent guarantee that the new zo6 will be under 65k and most likely the same or within 2k of a regular c6 convt price...So sounds like they're trying hard to keep the price the same... So I guess that's good news if his sources are true

65k would be outrageous unless its got a 427 w/ ~525hp and can do 11s showroom stock. Thats over a 10k increase of the previous gen Z06, and while the performance of the car is definatly in the 65-80k range (look @ its competition, most notably the Viper) the new gen Z shouldnt be more than 55-57 if you ask me, even w/ every option checked.

Thats not too bad, but they should've just said that it'd be around the 04 Z06 price being the standard prices for C6s are ~$1,000 cheaper than the C5 is, too bad they arent being sold like that in most area's.

FWIW take everything a dealer tells you with a grain of salt. GM doesn't tell them jack, and 9 times out of 10 the magazines get the rumors, pictures and rides before the dealers do. With the advent of the Internet the days fo the dealer knowing the product better than the consumer are long past.

Just because it stickers for 60K+ doesn't mean they will sell for that much. C5 Z06's sticker for 54K, but you can pick up a brand new one for less than 44K.

Brand new for less than 44k? Damn. And here I thought the finding 01s w/ 20k miles for $27,000 was a steal.
