12 Second Club - First 12 w/2.25 60'

Its about time. All I could manage today was a 2.25 60' with my stock size street tires. I was happy to run a pair of 12.89s @113 though. I guess gears and tires are next on the list. I just could not get a better 60'. It was a 45 degree cloudy day in Missourri. I am going to have to search this site some, but any better way to lauch a M6 an street tires to get closer to a 2.0? I tryed several different lauching rpms, and clutch applications. Did not do much of a burnout at all cuase when I do it hasn't helped. 20PSI in tires.

I was able to cut 2.1 60's by coming off at idle like I was at a stop light and then just laying into it :nod: Of course, I didn't have near as much power as you have seeing you trap 113 :þ

i ran 2.211, and from waht i've heard its pretty good for a M6, i guess my biggest suggestion would be, burn those rubbers into the street and buy some nitto 555r's, 255/50/16, thats what i'm gunna do, thats a low trap speed it seems like too... what were you launching at when you got that 2.25?

Somewhere around 2500 slipping the clutch. I was not power shifting either. I missed 3rd twice which I usually did not do with the stock stick so I just gave up on power shifting. Have to get used to the short stick position more I guess. I did hit 114.5 on one run that day but I rolled out entirely to early messing up the ET. Not sure what I was doing, but did power shift to 2nd that run.

my best with a bad 60 was a 2.214 with a 12.553 at 114.48 i was surprized as hell
