Default Looking for a cam...

What cam would make the most power in my '04 C5 using stock heads?

South, you think the -14 will outperform the RJ? I'm installing the 14 this spring, figured I'd be 5-10 shy of the RJ.

Have you seen the advertised rev range of both? I'd go with the F14's range on a stock bottom end. It's already pushing the limits as it is. RJ would be unuseable IMO.

And just an FYI, I am about 20 minutes from MTI so ordering one of thier cams would be super easy.

yay! another person obsessed with power!, they have discovered 420 rwhp out of TSP torquer and FM13, but the MOST power will come from t-rex probly.

I wonder how much adding a big cam will compromise drivability?

With proper gearing and a good tune, should drive fine.
If you have an A4, you'd need a new stall converter.

Also, bolt-ons come first. Make sure you're running Long Tube Headers before the cam install.

Yes I've seen their rev ranges, hence why I'm not about to install the RJ. My motor isn't going into the 7k range. I'm not thrilled with 6800+ but ARP pro series rod bolts should take care of that for 10k-15k miles. I dont' track this car much so I'm not terribly worried about it. It won't see 6600+ on a daily basis so my motor shouldn't explode too soon. When it does, time to upgrade
