Drag Racing Results - 4.10's, ls6 int, ported TB worth 4/10s and 3mph.
I went to the track yesterday to see what the new mods were worth. I added 4.10's, ls6 intake, home ported TB, and an off dyno tune. Before these mods I went a 13.39@ 106.58 after the mods I went 12.98@109.36. This was hot lapping the car on a bad stock clutch. My question is, did I pick up thirty horse and the gears gave me an extra tenth? Or were the mods worth twenty and the gears worth two tenths and a mph? I thought ET and mph would change in unison, a tenth for every mph considering same 60ft. I figured I could have gone a little quicker ET wise. I could only muster a 1.98 60ft. This should be a good starting point for the mods the UPS man is dropping off this week.

Yeah you are in the right spot now. I would imagine that the 4.10's would help you out a bit more. Same basic car as you except 3.42's got me to 12.86 at 109.9mph. Same crappy stock clutch, stock LS1 Intake, ported TB and MTI lid with a 2.0 60ft.
One of these days I will go back to the track and race, rest of the time stuck in the shop.

congrats on your new best:)
Thanks guys. I figured the ET would have been in the 12.8x range. But my 60ft is crappy. I guess the times are not that bad for lid, cat back, intake, and ported TB. I have a cam, UD pulley, headers, Y pipe, and supporting mods in the mail. That should pick up alot of time. My heads are some of the problem I think. When I swapped intakes they were caked with oil on the intake track. That can't be good. How is my time compared to other 98's? I know they are the slowest of the breed. I just figured I would be a round 110-111.
