Default Cam.. Stall.. a little help please

If i where to get lets say a 228/228 112 or 224/230 112 cam.. etc could i be able to still use the stock stall. (just long enough till i get a 3500.) Or could this somehow mess up my tranny... so on??? and also I wanna use stock heads for the moment till im able to afford some nice stage 2 ported heads. What would i need to "beef" up... push rods?? springs???

ur stock converter would work, it wouldn't ruin anything, it just won't be very happy... ur better off getting a converter now, and saving ur money up for the cam/heads later on... u'll get more from the converter alone, then from the cam alone...

FIRST mod period for an A4 should be a stall convertor. you won't take nearly full advantage of an aftermarket cam with your stock stall(plus drivability will suck). cam/heads later. stall now just splurge for a 3800 and call it a day
