Default tranny trouble- please help

Im looking for some help with a problem that started out of nowhere on my 4l60e tranny. After letting the car sit for a day without driving it (only spraying the engine compartment down to clean it off) it started with not shifting out of first gear until about 2500rpms only if i let of the gas. If i didnt the rpms would keep climbing without shifting. All the other gears shift fine at the correct rpms with no problem. that is the only problems until i punch the gas while moving. instead of downshifting it will redline until i let off. Can anyone please help with what might be causing this, i would really appreciate any help you may have.

Maybe you hosed down the TPS and you are getting a bogus signal which would directly affect shifting. These sensors don't take too kindly to pressure washing.

would you put your T.V in the dish washer ? no well your car has alot of sensors that dont like water at all it sounds like the T.P.S got wet replace it you should be fine if you have a scaner you can watch it to see what the volts are
