Silly question here people. I put my car away for the winter months and I want to put it on frame blocks so i don't ruin my new tires. Where underneath of the car can i place a floor jack so that I can lift the car up enough to get blocks under it? The manual shows to jack it up in front of the rear wheels and behind the fronts but when i do that it makes a bad noise like i am going to break something. On top of it all i can barely get my big head under the car to see anything anyways. thanks for the help.

Why not just get some beat up rims and tires to hold the car for the winter? I read it's not good to let the car rest on jack stands for long period of time since the syspension is supposed to rest on the rims/tires, though I know people do this.

I almost forgot to mention the obvious, that the side lift points can only be llifted with the Camaro jack.
Hope this helps, if something is wrong Im sure someone will point it out.

Thanks for the great pictures guys. That helps a lot. I never really thought about the suspension before. How bad is it really for the tires to be on the ground all winter long? The other question for you all is....do you start your cars when being stored for the winter? I was thinking of not doing it, because of the wear on the exhaust. Any thoughts or suggestions.

98BXR, those are some of the most descriptive and well lit pics I've seen for lift points. Thanks for taking the time to help out us beginners.

nice pics. thanks.
btw, at the owner's manual suggested points...was that dent caused by a floor jack or the scissor jack that came with the car? i would think that the stock jack shouldn't do that.

It was caused with the scissor jack that came with the car, but I belive it was more my fault not taking that extra precaussion in checking that the scissor jack was properly seated correctly and not the jacks fault. Thank goodness I learned from that and have not bent the other points.
