Default Toyed around with a cool little SRT-4 owner this morning

Was on my way to work this morning and right before I get on the highway I see a black SRT-4 behind me doing some spirited driving. We end up on the highway and just do a few high speed runs, never lined up for an actual race, I flew by him once, I dunno if he was trying to keep up or not, but after I let off I see him coming up quick. I let off the gas and slow down to 85ish so I can go into 4th and punch it if he tries to pass me. He does keep going by pretty quickly, so I hammer it and reel him in, and pass him in 5th. The rest were just me and him toying around for the 5 mins of my highway trip to work. Each time it was the same, we'd start off going pretty quickly, he'd hang with me pretty well until about 120, then I would put buslengths on em. All in all pretty fun.

Also, last night on my way to a chick friend of mine's work, I decided to do a high speed run. Got up to 172 MPH, which is the fastest I've ever been. What's the fastest you guys have ever driven / ridden before?

Haha, I like that. chick friend

I have been 179mph according to the speedo in my RX-7. In the Mustang I have had it to 176-178 by using gear ratio/tire size and rpm.

140 mph is it for me. I'm not a top speed junky. I like acceleration. Get me from 0-60 in 2 to 3 seconds and I'm happy.

That's the fastest I've been in this vette, yes. In my last silver '02, I got up to 177. And yeah she's my friend, I just stay over at her house sometimes for the night...

I....like....fast......

but i don't do that too much now.....my old stock 94z with 2.73s i had up to 149 every morning for a week on my way to work trying to get it up over 150, when i though i was going to sell it......i had that car over 140 a lot.....
i almost ran over my friends turbo eclipse out on the pacific coast highway a couple years after that when his rev limiter shut him down at just over 140......that was a record setting san diego to mission viejo trip

the current car has only seen over 100 twice(or maybe 3 times?) on the street, i wonder where the 3.73s would end up at? but yeah, too many bad things can happen, so i try to chill now.....try....

150 in a tbird

160+ in the 97 formula. I could of pushed more but ran out of road, lol.

I haven't tried the 98 z28 yet. We shall see on the way back from Georgia. I'm betting 175+, lol.

Nope, it actually went 10.7 @ 140 thru a M6.....this is his old setup.

He's been working on a new setup for the car and will be racing NHRA, forget what class, but he's hoping for mid-lows 8s trapping over 160mph. He's already put a few dyno runs in at ~1150rwhp thru a TH400. His name is Patrick Winkel so look for him racing next year. This kid knows his ****. Of course, he's not doing everything himself, he has a few shops in NJ, and Vegas that are helping.

Anyway, thiis is his car w/ the old setup: http://www.cardomain.com/id/vspec190
