optimal cam for 408
hey, my 408 for APE is being built but i had a question on the cam spec
again, its a mike K. spec and if i **** anybody off posting this, pm me,......
anyways, it is a 244 248 .600 .600 114 cam i wanted to know if this is a optimal cam spec for street bruising or could it be a bit bigger.i dont want it to be too choppy at idle and to settle comfortably @ 950-1000RPM'z; possibly lower with a good tune
any suggestions...

you might have better luck with this in the internals section
that looks like a pretty mild cam for a 408. i know running a 26x sized cam in a 408 is the equivalent to running a 23x in a 346. so your 244 should be about a 224
