Default slightly modded ls1 vs. modded 2003 GT stang

i wanted to ask the experts opinion on this one. i was on the interstate today and a 2001-2003 mustang GT comes roaring up beside me. he cranks down on it and of course all spastic blows by me on a very crowded interstate. now i would have flew up beside him and F'ed his world up, but i was kinda hesitate first off i didnt know for sure if i would have him beat. I could tell his stang was modded(sounded better than most, maybe headers and im sure other mods). second off like i said before the interstate was crowded and i didnt feel like causing a wreck.

My mods below: dont forget mine is an A4 and i think his was a M5. TIA guys

don't be scared man i have blown my buddy's stock gt out of the water without even pushing my car hard (i have shitty tires and barely get traction so i didnt want to push it). gt's are no problems for the LS1

If all he had was bolt-ons you would of killed him. The fact that he was instigating though makes me believe he was packing something more. The only GTs that have ever given me guff have been moderately to heavily modded. that's because they knew they could take a stock LS1.

The 99-04 GTs are more in the league of us LT1 guys. Kind of like the Mach 1s are to you LS1ers (stock for stock that is). Even with his boltons, you should still beat him.

"Without even pushing your car hard" .... .... If you're racing a 99+ GT manual out the hole, I'm assuming you mean walking it out so you don't go sideways, and then giving it all you've got. It's not like you're going to walk away going part throttle. ... your T/A is not that fast.

I love when I'm minding my business and some bully assumes I'm stock and proceeds to pick on me ... that's what makes it all worth it.

Gotta always be mindful though that sometimes the bully's are packin too .

Be careful, some of those gt's can pack a big punch. They all know they are not gonna beat a LS1 with mods so why would they try. But its the seriously modded guys you have to look out for. Those modular motors just love boost, I was a ford guy a while back and read ever mustang magazine known. But watch out for the boosted ones their pretty quick.

i do give the stangs credit that deserve it, but for a slightly modded gt is not somethin i give credit to.

This is the street racing forum, not a "what if" forum.
