Default Should the pulley sit flush?

When installing a crank pulley, should the pulley, bolt and crank all be one flush ending product, or should the pulley be a little longer than the crank? I'm installing mine with a double roller and I'm getting a distance of 1.292" from the end of the crank to the lower timing sproket and a distance of 1.415 on the inside of my pully. That obviouslly leaves the pulley 0.123" from being flush with the crank. Is this safe, or should I machine the pulley the 0.123" to sit flush with the end of the crank?

I didn't notice if mine was flush with the crank or not. Just look down from the top and see if the belt wear marks on the water pump line up with groove in the crank pulley.

When installed, the pulley looks like it's not on all the way. Best to check it's position with the other pullies to be sure.

I checked the pulley on the old motor. They were within .010 of each other so it should be fine.
