Estimate horsepower for my car?
I have a 2001 Trans Am WS6 M6. I have an LS1 Motorsports air lid, GMMG catback, Jet Hot Longtubes, Jet Hot catted Y pipe. How much Horsepower do you think I have, flywheel, and rear wheel? I'm just looking for an educated estimate. I appreciate anybody willing to help me out. I'm needing to know for a decal i'm having made and I can't get to a dyno for a while, so i'm just looking for an estimate. I'm not trying to claim anymore HP thn I have, so since most mods make the same HP for all cars on average, I was hoping you guys could give me an estimate of my flywheel and rear wheels HP? Thanks a lot guys!

i disagree i say 350 Ez...do to it bein an 01..and there already underated at there 315 FWHP..mark...im guessin he was in the range of 300-310 RWHP before he did those mods..and i bet those mods gave him an ez 40 RWHP...gain if not more...so im saying 350 you guys may all think im wrong but ive seen F-bodys dyno 340..with just LT's, and a catback.not even the lid.

Thanks for the help guys! So you guys would put flywheel Horsepower on there instead of rear wheel? After I thought about it, it seems the flywheel Hp is what always is shown, like on the BlackBirds 380 HP and such. So what do you guys think? This Hp rating is going on my BlackBird stripes. Should I go with flywheel HP rating, or rear wheel HP rating? If flywheel, how much flywheel HP would I have you think? The one guy mentioned I should have around 350 Rear wheel Horsepower, so how much flywheel Horsepower would I have if I had 350 rear wheel HP? Thanks a lot guys! Just trying to get this taken care of as soon as I can. I would really love to get to the dyno and get an exact rating, but I just can't get to one right now. And these BlackBird stripes have to come with a HP rating, so I figured I could get really close to what I have if possible. Thanks again guys, let me know!

Yeah man, I dont think hardly anyone, if anyone at all, uses rwhp decals. Its always fwhp, and you should just get the 400 decal. If you do hit the dyno and find out your a little short, as said before an LS1 edit tune should get you there.

Ok, thanks guys! You've been a great help! So it looks like 400 HP it is! That is a nice respectable number lol. I like flywheel HP better lol. But anyways thanks again guys and any more opinions are welcome!

Hey, the GMMG with addition to LTs sounds great IMO. I run cats though, so that might be a factor too. I've heard without cats its a love or hate thing. But I'm really happy with it. You definitely get a lot of looks and questions about it. Overall the LTs made it a little louder, but not unbearable IMO. You can notice it mostly on WOT But if you have any other questions just let me know and i'll be glad to help you out. Also like what was said before, LS1sounds.com is great for hearing all kinds of setups.
