I went on a road trip from KC to Des Moines a few weeks ago in my new TA to see how it drives on a long trip (I was impressed by the gas mileage)...and after 3 hours on the road I was just ready for the trip to be over with. As I got into Des Moines, two cars come flying down an on-ramp so I oblidge and move over to allow them to merge...I am doing about 75 in cruise control and they both blow by me at about 90. The lead car was an Acura Legend with a fart can and chinese lettering on the windows, and the trailing car was a 90s Chevy Beretta with racing stripes, a big Bow Tie in the rear window, and chrome dual tips...I just laughed to myself and was resigned to make it to my cousin's hous, but no the Acura slows down and decides to mess with me...he allows me to pull along side of him and then he starts to goose it and stares at me with that "I can kick your rear" look. I of course was just not wanting to deal with the punks so I just downshifted and hit 110 from 75 in a few nanoseconds [not real elapsed time:)] and they were nothing but a speck in my rearview mirror. I just love how they think they can put a 4 inch pipe on the rear end and think that they get huge HP gains from it. I guess they will just never learn.
