Default BC Timeless 5

Did they change the style of these rims over the years? I ordered some last week and after looking at some pics on the net it looks like they made some changes. Like on the centercap, some had a white bc signature, while others didnt. Also some had some extra grooves in them around the center. thanks

Hmm, I guess they changed the centercap. here are mine which I believe were purchased new about 1.5 years ago, maybe less. These are pics I took when I just got them. They were bought 2nd hand but virtually new.

Thanks for the pics. I've seen some where it had some extra grooves around the area where the bolt holes are. Here's a pic of what i'm talking about.

Yeah I see what you are saying. That extra groove looks pretty cool. Which versions did you get?

I just ordered the 17X9.5 all the way around. They didn't say anything about different versions so Im not sure which one I'll get. Their website shows the ones like yours without the extra grooves. Personally I don't really like the extra grooves. I'm sure they'd be like the ones on their website though.

well it will be better to not have the extra grooves b/c that would mean more work when polishing

PS-Why didn't you get the 17X11's out back? Thats what makes the look IMO.

I'm in college and broke so being able to rotate was a big factor.

I gotta PM request for pics of them on the car. Luv2sp, let me know if you mind me posting them here and I'll remove them. 17X9 & 17X11's w/315's out back. Car is NOT lowered. Stock springs still on there.

Fine with me. If anybody else has pics of em feel free to post em up! I think these wheels are pretty rare though. That's one of the reasons I went with them is b/c not too many people have em. Your car looks nice btw!

Similar wheels here, but a little different. I like the Timeless-5s, but went with the Timeless-2s myself...

Shane- your car looks really good! I thought about the timeless 2's but then I realized how hideous my stock brakes would look and I don't have the extra cash to upgrade em so I thought the timeless 5's would be "safer". Both of them look great though!

What do guys think of the overall quality of the boyds? I've heard some say no issues and some have problems with getting them balanced right?

Boyd Coddington's are an excellent wheel with great qaulity. They would be one of the first on my list, other than Fikse of course.

Thanks Onyx. That's good to hear. It would suck to spend 2k on wheels that don't balance properly.
