Default How much will my idle quality change with this new cam????

I have a 242/242 .610/.610 114 lsa right now.

I want to go to a 248/252 same lsa.

The car idles pretty much just like a stock LS1 does. Just a tiny bit of rumble only if you're sitting in the car, otherwise the sound is the only way to know its not stock.

What do you think?

And what do you think the RWHP gains would be from that alone?

I have been told that strokers love lower lsa's. I have an ARE 422 with a 248/248 @ 110 (degreed to 108). Yes it does idle a bit rougher.

So for me to make it worth the HP gains I need to go to a 112 lsa from my current 114 lsa, right?

Will that be good for 10-12 RWHP?

I think you need more cam. My cam is a 250/257 lsa 112 and it idles great.
