Do you want to go ORY? I would say save your money for LTs and ORY or catted Y. Stock headers suck. No point in changing everything but the stock manifolds. You will only gain about 10rwhp after replacing the ORY and midpipes. The Y pipe after the cats does nothing but hinder ground clearance.
Just save your money.

i cant go long tubes right now, im a freshman in college and i live in ohio, which means i have to pass emissions. since im in college i dont have the money or the time to be swapping out my exhaust to pass emissions. i know i will gain more if i have LT's but i cant have them right now. so for now i would like to know what my options are as far as high flow cats and a new y-pipe that will fit with stock headers and borla cat-back.

Wasen't trying to send you in another direction, the cost to gain would not be worth it. I maid a bad mistake, "before i found this sight" of beleveing slp's outrageous hp gains and bought there y pipe that fit stock exhaust, only differance was the driver side was round instead of flat. Now I have a 3in ory and guss what it's flat on the drivers side. I wish i could have that 200$ back. Just saying if it were me save up for a nice set of lts and catted y. hope this helps

why do you want to keep your stock manifolds? they're heavy and restrictive. are emissions a problem for you? go for some shorty headers and some high flow cats if thats the case, and port the primaries.

Forget the cats. Leave it the way it is until you have the money to do LTs. HF cats will only give you like 5rwhp. Not worth the money. Look I put down 344rwhp and 361rwtq (runway flat curve too, 300ftlbs at 2500rpm) with stock exhaust and open cut-out with some simple bolt-ons. The only alternative is macs and a catted Y which will cost more anyhow. They make high flow catted Ys for LT set-ups. Just save the money. I owe my torque curve to my stock Y, cats and manifolds.

What I do is run a bassani ORY that bolts directly to the stock '00+ manifolds. BTW, it is my understanding that those manifolds flow rather well for what they are. After that is a Magnaflow cat-back (although there are no cats...)
When I have to smog, I'll put the cats back on. I do this in my carport in a modest amount of time. Also, this set up is rather loud and very raspy. I'd guess that a hooker cat-back might better suit this set up and the whole thing would be relatively inexpensive, flow well and sound nice. Just don't expose that exhaust to the salted Ohio winter roads and you'd be all good.
